Tavis Smiley...A Woman Scorned? absolutely!

Did anyone have the liberty to see Tavis Smiley on "Meet the Press" with none other than "Joe Scarbourgh"mmmm...they know how to team them up. But I must concentrate on Mr. Smiley. Wow!!! a book on grading "President Obama". Just a reminder Mr. Smiley the black community needed uplifting during "the Clinton, Bush Sr. and oh my God, Bush Jr. adminstration and exactly where were you and your scorecard? My goodness, did you embarass the black community today on Meet the Press. You come off with such jealousy and the Republicans, Conservatives, and oh yeah the "scorned women" are having a "Tea Party" in your honor. Why shame Black Leaders with your jealous outburst, you can hardly contain yourself when speaking of President Obama. Wow! the way you flip-flop to make it appear you don't have a hidden agenda. It is pathetic, almost like a "cat fight between two girls". Listing campaign promises, where were you when "Bush didn't deliver? Where was your book when "Hurricane Katrina" came, where was the "stance of uplifting the Black Community then? You are a woman scorned and a "call girl for the Republicans, when they call, you come with your book & scorecard. Remember what you said on CNN in reference to the now President not attending your very baseless Black Union Forum "Smiley made it clear he thought that was the wrong move. "I think it's a missed opportunity on Mr. Obama's part. Now, I am not interested in demonizing him for his choice, but I do disagree with it," he told CNN at the time." To Smiley, his stance was consistent with his long-standing mission to inform and uplift the black community. You are making money off of the Black Community with your "STANCE", now can you tell me exactly what it is that you do for the Black Community? Your not recognized as a leader, or a mentor. Your explanations for your book "Accountability:Making America as Good as Its Promise", and I quote you,"The ground is fertile for him to be a great president, but we have to hold him accountable to doing those things that he said he was going to do -- not out of casting aspersions on him, but out of loving him, because if he succeeds, there's a chance that we'll have somewhere down the road another black president, a woman president, but if he fails, it may be another 400 years before we get a black president."Posted by Sheryl H. Salomon on May 7th 2009 for Black Voices. I'm sorry, where were you during the 2008 elections? the audacity to state "it may be another 400 years before we get a black president" is an insult to African Americans, and the young adult American Citizens (18-24/25), whom turned out in "droves" in suport of a black nominee, and a woman nominee. Don't ever pigeon hold "Black America" or the youth of this generation, Mr. Smiley. They are a much stronger presence than you will ever be. Besides, you are only one vote:).
